About Us

Lighthouse Christian Radio was founded in 2004 as an online radio station.

It started out as a fun project by Paul Hoover, a teenager at that time, and then it moved into being a ministry outreach of Souls Harbor Baptist Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

We are continuing to develop the station to be a blend of conservative Christian music and Biblical teaching.

In addition to the main channel, there are instrumental, preaching, kids, and dramatized Bible story channels.  You can listen in several ways.  On the website, on the iOS and Android apps, as well as on internet radios (Grace Radio, Squeeze Box, etc.).  We are also included on several 3rd party radio apps, including TuneIn.

Our Mission Statement

Lighthouse Christian Radio exists to glorify God by:

  1. Evangelizing the lost through gospel teaching and music that point to Christ.
  2. Edifying the saints through uplifting music and programming that encourages the soul.  We strive to encourage you spiritually with beautiful uplifting music selections.  Music is chosen based on the flow of the day including a gradual transition into the nighttime hours. A wide variety of programs & messages are selected and arranged to bring a fresh, clear message with God’s convicting power.
  3. Equipping the soldier through sound Bible teaching programs.
  4. Educating the community with news and information pertinent to our local area and beyond.

The Good News

Your joy or your sorrows for all eternity depends on your answer…ARE YOU SAVED?

Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die? It is not a question of how good you are, nor if you are a church member, but are you saved.

What does it mean to be saved according to Bible terminology? Well, let an angel answer this. An angel said of the Lord Jesus, “… thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21).

People don’t believe that the problem is sin, therefore, they don’t see the need to be saved from sin. They want to be saved from their difficulties. They want to be saved from their problems, but the Bible says that we are all sinners.

More specifically, we have broken God’s Moral Law (the Ten Commandments).

It is natural for us to sin, but this is not an excuse.  We stand guilty before a holy God, and we need to be saved from His wrath.

First, you must realize you are a sinner. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)

Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death. “For the wages (payment) of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This includes eternal separation from God in Hell.

But God loved you so much He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear your sin and die in your place. “… He hath made Him (Jesus, Who knew no sin) to be sin for us … that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus had to shed His blood and die. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood” (Leviticus 17:11). “…without shedding of blood is no remission (pardon).” (Hebrews 9:22).

“…But God commandeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

“God … now commandeth all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30).

This repentance is a change of mind that agrees with God that one is a sinner and also agrees with what Jesus did for us on the Cross.

Simply believe on Him as the one who bore your sin, died in your place, was buried, and whom God resurrected.

In Acts 16:30-31, the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas: “…’Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ And they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved …”

“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” (John 1:12).

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). Whosoever includes you. Shall be saved means not maybe, nor can, but shall be saved. Surely, you realize you are a sinner. Right now, wherever you are, repenting, lift your heart to God in prayer.

In Luke 18:13, the sinner prayed: “God be merciful to me a sinner.” Just pray:
“Oh, God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross. I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me. I now receive Him as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation, and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace. Amen.”

If you just received Jesus Christ as your Savior, we would love to hear from you.
